Travel Tools
This is a 4-week program emphasizing on China business, economics, political and legal structure. Coursework is supplemented with field trips and excursions in China. All courses will be taught in ENGLISH at our host institution, University of International Business & Economics (UIBE) Beijing, China. Students are welcome to fill out our no-obligation sign up form. Program Overview
China business and economics program is given for students who are interested in studying the Chinese economic, political and culture environment and/or purposing China-oriented economic research. The objective of the courses is to provide students with the necessary intellectual capabilities and skills to excel in a career directly or indirectly related to China. The course consists of lectures/seminars of Chinese political, economic and legal structures, and the changes since China implemented its reform and open-up policy, especially after its accession the World Trade Organization. Coursework is supplemented with field trips and excursions in China.

The program is taught in English by outstanding professors from famous universities in China. Many of the professors have studied outside of China and have a great deal of practical experience in China. During the courses, local business people from state-owned companies and joint ventures are invited to give lectures on their areas of expertise. In order to get a better understanding of China, students also taking field trips to government offices, companies and business conferences in addition to visits to historical and culture sites in China. At the end of the program, students are required to hand in research paper about China business. Grade and certificate from UIBE will be issued at the end.

This program will not open until there are at least 8 students. For groups or schools, program starting time can be negotiated. The duration of the program can be ranged from 2 weeks to 4 weeks.

Afternoons
Lectures of Chinese Economy, Business, Legal and Political Structure at University of International Business & Economics (UIBE) Beijing, China. (Taught in English).

Afternoon activities include the followings:
- Field trips to companies and historical sites
- Business conferences and conventions
- Calligraphy classes
- Martial arts classes
- Introduction to Chinese Economy/Culture
- Local culture excursions
Weekends and
evenings
  We provide optional culture excursion tours and activities during weekends and some evenings:
- Trips to Great Wall, Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City
- Peking duck dinner
- Peking opera show
- Acrobatic show

Companies Companies visits/field trips
The following companies have been arranged by us for visits:
Beijing Jeep Corporation: the first and largest light off-road automotive manufacturing joint venture in China which is cooperated by Beijing Automobile Industry Corporation, DaimlerChrysler Corporation and DaimlerChrysler China Invest Corporation.
Bayer: One of the world's biggest chemical manufacturers and health care products, Bayer has production facility in China.
Coca-Cola: the first U.S. Company to distribute its products in China after Deng Xiaoping opened the country to foreign investors in 1979. Today, Coca-Cola has an ownership stake in 24 bottling joint-ventures and generates sales of $1.2B in China.
Ingersoll-Rand: construction and mining machinery company. IR is among the first foreign companies to establish operations in China before the country opened for investment. China is an important manufacturing center for IR as well as a rapidly growing market.
Johnson Pharmaceuticals Ltd: One of the biggest pharmaceutical and consumer product company in the US, and own subsidiary in Shanghai.
United Automobile Electronic Systems: one of top 100 Chinese enterprises to offer automobile parts and electronic systems.
Baogang Steel Factory: One of the oldest and biggest Chinese steel companies, owned by the government but has been reformed and introduced a lot of advance management.
Johnson Controls: a global market leader in automotive systems and facility management and control.
Sonoco-Hangwen Paper: a Chinese paper production company.
Procter and Gamble: One of the biggest consumer products company, P&G has almost 150 distribution centers in China.
The Shanghai Stock Exchange: One of the two biggest and most important stock exchanges in China
Hong Kong stock exchange: an important stock market in Asia.
Sealand Corporation: Sealand Corporation has entered a development project entitled the Shanghai Links Country Club and Resort Community in the Pudong area valued at $280 million.
Tong Ren Tang: the oldest and biggest Chinese medicine and herb company, and has grown rapidly in China and in the world.



Customization
We offer maximum flexibility for schools and groups, including starting dates, duration, and curriculum and relatedactivities. All these can be negotiated for groups. In addition to classes in Beijing, we can also arrange culture excursions to Xian, Three Gorges, Shanghai, Tibet, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Hong Kong or other places in China at the end of the program.


Room and boardinformation
Affordable on campus dormitory and off campus accommodations are available at convenient and safe location. Friendly Global Institution staff provides on-site and emergency support in China.


Program cost
USD $2,950 per person:
- add $900 for optional roundtrip international air between the US west coast and China, economy class.
