| About Our Programs |
 |
 |
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is gaining popularity
as millions of Americans seek more holistic TCM therapies,
including acupuncture, Tuina massage, herbal medicine,
Qigong and Taiji etc. The goal of our program is to help
western medicine professionals understand these alternative
therapies. |
|
In treating disease,
these complementary therapies are not substitutes for mainstream
medical care; they are used in concert with medical treatment
to help alleviate stress, reduce pain and anxiety, manage
symptoms, and promote a feeling of well-being. By integrating
these therapies properly into their medical treatment, patients
are getting a more comprehensive plan and assisting their
bodies in the healing process.
Our medical alliance includes University of Tennessee College
of Medicine - Chattanooga, Erlanger Hospital, State Administration
of Traditional Chinese Medicine P.R. China, Peking University
Health Science Center, China Academy of Traditional Chinese
Medicine (CATCM) and its subsidiaries, which consist of China
Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center, and Guang
An Men Hospital. CATCM is also designated as WHO Collaborating
Center for TCM.
|
| We are committed to promoting communication and exchanges between TCM and conventional
medicine professionals. Our TCM training programs are designed
to help western medicine professionals learn about various TCM
therapies in a language that physicians will understand.
Currently, these programs require of overseas travel to China,
for the benefit of learning from the best Chinese TCM experts
and getting most hand-on practice at Chinese TCM hospitals.
We will introduce distance learning programs in the near future
for those physicians who are not able to travel.
