What does your medical study trip include?
Our medical study trip usually includes medical education activities, such as lectures, clinic visits, and group discussion etc, accommodation, transportation, most meals, guided culture excursion, and English interpreter. However, every package has some variations. Please refer to each trip’s price details for exact coverage of that trip. |

Can I customize my trip?
We always assist groups to customize their trips, including budget, hotels, places to go, time, and educational activities. If you are an individual customer and want to customize trip, please contact us and we will be more than happy to help you. You can rest assured that we will try to meet your needs to the best efforts. |

Can I get Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit from your study trip?
Yes, you can. Global Institution and University of Tennessee College of Medicine jointly plan these overseas study trips as part of international CME program. This program has been planned & implemented in accordance with the policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Participants will earn Category 1 CME credits towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. This program is also pending recognition by American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). |

Where will I attend medical education activities?
We will arrange you to participate in seminars at top accredited Chinese universities and hospitals, including Peking University Health Science Center, China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Gu An Men Hospital and other accredited educational institutions. Our program is fully supported by Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and China Medical Association. |

What’s acupuncture certification program?
Our acupuncture certification program is specially designed for west medicine professionals, including physicians, chiropractor, medical researchers and other health care professionals. It is a 300 hour program consisting of 3 series step-by-step study. Each series combines both lectures and clinic practice in China. The program is offered at acupuncture training center and teaching hospitals of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM), who has over 20 years of experience of training western medical professionals. CATCM is designated by WHO as WHO Collaborating Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its program is recognized both by the Ministry of Education in China and by Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) in the US. Upon completion, a 300-hour acupuncture study certificate recognized by WHO will issued upon request. |

Who is eligible to attend acupuncture program?
Currently, our acupuncture programs are open for western medicine and health care professionals, including physicians, chiropractors, and other medical professionals with higher degrees and clinical experience, scientific and technical researchers. |

Can I practice acupuncture after attending your acupuncture certification program?
You will have to check your state law regarding acupuncture practice. It is your responsibility to follow the state regulation. Our goal is to make you gain acupuncture knowledge and skills through our programs. Most people know how to use acupuncture to treat some common diseases after 300 hour study. |

What if I want to learn more about acupuncture?
We offer more thorough programs, including 3-month basic acupuncture program and 3-month advanced acupuncture program. Like west medicine, TCM requires of continuous learning. Our hosting institutions always have people to come back with questions from their practice. We are planning to hold higher level acupuncture seminars for people to share questions and to learn from each other as well as from acupuncture experts. If you are interested, please contact us. |

What is Tuina?
Tuian is an oriental bodywork therapy treatment consisting of massage, acupressure, physical therapy and chiropractic. Like acupuncture, Tuina is one therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been used in China for over 5000 years. |

What is Qigong?
Qigong is another TCM therapy that hat integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intentions for cultivating energy (Qi). Qigong is famous in China for curing chronic disease and promoting health. |

Can I travel to other places after my study?
Certainly! Just let us know your place of interest and budget. We will be more than happy to arrange additional trips for you. |

Can I bring my spouses along with me?
Of course! Spouses are always welcome. While you attend medical education activities in China, we have spouse sightseeing tours available for family members. We will make sure your spouse have an exciting and fun time in China. |

Where can I get discount air ticket to China?
Global Institution is determined to provide you one-shop service and convenience. You can access here to purchase “Discount Airline Ticket”. You can also contact us regarding international airline ticket. Our international round trip flight between the US west coast and China is about $900 per person. |

Do you offer Travel Protection/Insurance?
We recommend anyone joining one of our programs should have adequate personal insurance against medical and accident risks, evacuation, and repatriation. Global Institution will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal possessions, and we also strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance that can reimburse up to your trip cost if you cancel the trip yourself. Please access here for purchasing travel protection/insurance. Credit companies often provide some travel insurance coverage as part of their benefit. You may want to check with your credit company for what kind of coverage you can get. |

What kind of lodging can I expect from the package?
Global Institution provides different type of lodgings for different budget. Depending on the itinerary you may find hotels of different classes. All hotels should be clean, neat, safe and suitable for western travelers. If you find there is not enough information about the lodgings and accommodation in the tour information, please feel free to contact us. |

I'm a single person traveling alone. Will I have to share a room with a stranger?
You don’t have to share a room with others. You can enjoy a single room accommodation by paying a single stay surcharge. |

Do I need passport and visa to travel to China?
Americans travelers will need a passport and visa to enter China, and they should be applied in advance. If you don’t have passport, you can apply for it at city court house or local post office. Chinese government requires foreign travelers, whether for leisure or business, to have a valid visa to enter into China. You are exempt from this requirement if you travel and stay ONLY in Hong Kong. However, if you travel beyond Hong Kong, even for a few hours, you will need a China visa, which should be obtained within 90 days before your departure.
Important for US residents: please note that beginning on May 1, 2003, the Chinese Embassy do not take visa applications sent by mail. Applicants are required to come to the Embassy, or entrust a relative or friend or travel/visa agent to come to the Embassy for the visa application process. For your convenience, we have established visa service to help you get visa no matter where you reside in the US. For more information, please email us some details of your travel plans, and we will try our best to assist you. |

About Reservation & Payment |

How do I book a trip or program?
Global Institution offers two methods of booking your study trip. You can either book online through Reserve Trip button. Or, you can email us to request a reservation form, fill in the form and then fax or email it to us. All personal information is confidential and will not be shared or sold to anyone. |

Do I need to make a payment when booking a trip?
There is no payment obligation during reservation. We will revert to you with all the confirmed details and the invoice. It is then that you will need to make deposits and full prepayment either using credit card or checks. We require $300 non-fundable deposits within 2 weeks of booking in order to secure your place, and the rest balance is due 90 days prior to departure. |

What can I expect after I have completed my reservation or my booking?
After completing the reservation form, we will return to you with confirmation emails and payment instruction. If you are happy with the details confirmed, then you will proceed with the payment process. Please note your space is only secured when we receive your deposits. |

Can I make reservation for others?
Absolutely, you can make reservations for family members, friends, relatives and any one. The booking will be made under your name while we ask separately for the name and number of travelers. |

When do I need to put down deposit?
A deposit (or full payment for trips booked inside 90 days prior to tour starting date) is required within 2 weeks of reservation. Deposit is $300 per person, non-refundable. |

When is final payment due?
A final balance payment, after deposits, will be due 90 days prior to departure date. |

Can I make a change about my reservation after deposit?
Certainly! For land only package (without international flight), reservation changes will be accepted with no charge 30 days prior to the tour departure date. These changes will include trip dates, participant names or party size.
You will have to contact your airline directly for any changes you will make about your flight.

How do I pay my trip?
We accept credit card, money order and personal checks. If you choose to use credit, you can either use our secure online payment option through PayPal. You can also mail us money order or checks. |

Will I receive my voucher and receipt?
Upon payment received, you will receive your voucher and receipt online. If you will like a hard copy receipt, please send us a request and mailing address. |

I have paid for travel product that I am not satisfied with, how do I go about getting refund?
At Global Institution, we want to guarantee the quality of service and your satisfaction. If you are ever dissatisfied with our service, please try to let us know during the tour and we will make the necessary arrangements and refund. If you have finished the tour, please send us a complaint form specifying your dissatisfaction and your online agent will investigate the case, and advise the results of the investigation. |
