12-day China highlights and Yangtze cruise[Make Reservation]

This splendid trip starts in two charming culture cities: Beijing and Xian. You will visit historical sites, temples, hills, gardens, museums and monuments. Then we will take you to visit world’s biggest Dam project on the Yangtze Gorges, and to enjoy the attractive riverside scenery on a luxurious cruise ship. After the cruise journey, you will fly to Shanghai for a brief visit. This trip gives you leisure as well as culture insight you need.

Day-by-Day Schedule
Day 1: Beijing
Arrive at Beijing airport. A friendly English speaking staff will meet and transfer you to hotel. Relax yourself for the rest of the day.
Day 2: Beijing
A full day tour will take you to The Great Wall, the eighth wonder in the World, continue to the Ming Tombs. In the evening enjoy a sumptuous Beijing Duck Dinner.
Day 3: Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
Day 4: Beijing - Xian
Take a morning flight to Xi'an and be transferred to the hotel. Visit the Ancient City Wall.
Day 5: Xian
Visit The Terra-Cotta Warriors, the Provincial History Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Tang Dynasty Dinner and Show is served in the evening.
Day 6: Xian
Visit the joint mausoleum of emperor Gaozong and Wu Zetian, the most famous empress in the Chinese history, Qianling Museum, the Tomb of princess Yongtai and the Xianyang Terracotta Museum. The local speciality Dumpling Dinner is served in the evening.
Xian - Chongqing
Take flight to Chongqing and visit the Chongqing Museum and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. Your memorable Yangtze River tour begins as you board the cruise ships at night.
Day 8: Shibaozhai
Sail through the mountains of Eastern Sichuan this morning. After lunc, disembark for an excursion to Shibaozhai. Back on board for a Captain's Welcome Party.
Day 9: Three Gorges
The ship will pass the Wu Gorges with its twelve lofty and misty gorges in the morning. Around noon, disembark at Badong for a sampan tour to Shennong Stream. Get offshore and have lunch. In the afternoon, the ship will pass Xiling Gorges and the Ship Locks of the Three Gorges Dam.
Day 10: Yichang - Shanghai
After breakfast, disembark for an excursion to the new and still under construction, Three Gorges Dam. Then the ship continues to Yichang. The estimated arrival in Yichang is around noon. Take a flight to Shanghai and be transferred to the hotel.
Day 11: Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum, the TV Tower of Oriental Pearl, the Yu Garden and the Bund. Evening watch an Acrobatic Show.
Day 12: Exit
We will transfer you to airport in Shanghai for your return flight. Your flight will bring you back home the same day. Or, we will arrange further travel assistances in China upon your request.

Adult: USD $2,970 per person (w/o international air)
* Single room supplement: USD $900 per person
* Child (age 2-11): USD $2,079 per person
* Baby (under age 2): USD $594 per person

  • Domestic airline tickets Beijing/Xi’an, Xi’an/Chongqing, Yichang /Shanghai, and associated airport taxes

Rate excludes:
  • International flight (You can contact us to include international flight in your package, or purchase your own international flight at Discount Airline Ticket. American travelers will fly over international dateline, so please remember to depart one day earlier than the tour start date in China.)
  • Personal expenses (such as telephone bill, laundry, alcoholic beverages, drinks etc)
  • Tips (Tipping is not popular in China. It is at your discretion for tipping.)
  • Travel Insurance (For your protection, Global Institution highly recommends purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance that can reimburse you all trip cost if you cancel your trip prior to departure. Compare and check travel insurance.)
