This is approximate 3-week beginner acupuncture program for western medicine professionals. Participants will spend mornings on clinic practice, and afternoons on TCM and acupuncture lectures at China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM) with its acupuncture training center and teaching hospitals, which also serves as WHO Collaborating Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Upon completion of the course, participants will understand basic of acupuncture and have hand-on experience on acupuncture practice. A 120-hour acupuncture completion certificate will be issued upon request. The program will taught in English.
After completion Certification 1, participants can choose to further study etiology, diagnostic methods and point location practice at China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM) with acupuncture training center and teaching hospitals. Participants spend all mornings on clinic practice and all afternoons on diagnosis lectures. Upon completion of Certification 2, an 80-hour acupuncture completion certificate will be issued. The program will taught in English.
After completion Certification 2, participants can choose to further master the locations of the commonly-used points and use acupuncture to treat common diseases at China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM) with its acupuncture training center and teaching hospitals. Participants spend all mornings in clinic practice and all afternoons in diagnosis lectures. Upon completion of Certification 3, an 100-hour acupuncture completion certificate will be issued. The program will taught in English.
This is a very thorough and comprehensive beginner acupuncture program for western medical professionals. Upon completion, the participants will be able to acquire a brief understanding of fundamentals of acupuncture and moxibustion, and basic technique about 120 commonly-used points as well as treatment of about 25 kinds of common diseases by acupuncture and moxibustion. In this way, participants can apply acquired knowledge and skills into practice quickly, and maximize both theoretical knowledge and acupuncture skills. This is a very advanced acupuncture program for people who have mastered acupuncture basics. Upon completion, participants will be able to acquire a complete understanding of basic theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a systematic knowledge of meridians and collaterals and a perfect mastery of 250 acupoints, including the locations, indication to the differentiation, methods of treatment and prescriptions of about 40 common diseases.
